Welcome to Magical Mouse Tales. The idea for this podcast came from planning my first Disney vacation for my family. I feel like the parks are changing every few days and there are so many steps to take while planning. What better way to find out about the parks than by speaking to people that have recently been on a Disney vacation?! I am hoping to interview people from all over the Disney vacation spectrum to get a view of the parks from every angle!
My Story
My name is MacKenzie and I live in Southern Massachusetts with my high school sweetheart, turned husband, Matt, our three sons, Brody, Harrison, and Lincoln, and our dog Emma.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from Johnson & Wales University and have worked in many restaurants, bakeries and chocolate shops all around the country. If you hear me talk about food a lot, it's because I have always had a fascination with food and cooking for as long as I can remember. Since becoming a mother of three active boys, I have stepped away from being paid to cook, to stay at home with them (to not be paid to cook)! My dream would to eventually own a donut and pastry shop.
I was your typical kid growing up in the 80's and 90's and loved all things Disney. The Disney Channel was the only kid's station I had growing up in the woods of Maine, so you can say that I was raised on Disney. I went on my first Disney vacation when I was 9 years old. We went for Christmas and stayed at the Polynesian (Santa found our hotel room), and it was truly magical!
Since having kids my love for Disney has resurfaced (it never left, it was just tucked away for a while) and I can't wait to share the magic with them! I booked our first family trip in 2019 for October of 2020, then the world stopped. I was able to reschedule for November of 2022, but I never stopped planning. Even though it's been close to 20 years since I have been to Disney, I feel like I have become a planning expert in these past four years! I still have a lot to learn, and so many questions, but I know this platform will help me with every vacation in the future! I can't wait to share my incredible guest's knowledge with you!
